ROAD TRIP

So, instead of doing my ASL (aka Sign Language) homework, I'm procrastinating and writing a little somethin-somethin here.

But, before I get to the point of this post, I must mention that I am on the hunt for a boy I have dubbed "man with the beautiful eyes". I've seen him a few times on the shuttle to UT and once in H-E-B, but ever since then..I simply can't stop thinking about him.
Laurin's mystery man(a delusion by me, Laurin ;)):
-Obviously blue eyes
-Super relaxed
-A little awkward, but in a supremely interesting way
-Super shy
-Super sweet(always holds open the door and stuff)
-Always let's me pay for half of anything we do together
-Likes girls with curly brown hair and dark brown eyes

OK, now back to the point...MY ROAD TRIP! Probably the most exciting thing I've done in oh say 3 long years. Here it is!
Firstly of all, sitting in the car for pretty
much 7 long days with this beauty (and her dad)
And wow were they long days!
First Stop! St. Louis Mo. That's the arc!
Might I say something: St. Louis, Mo was AWESOME! Going up into that huge arc was such an exciting event. Piling inside a tiny cramped space with three strangers and looking through the clear doors as the world disappears to a cement wall was a little claustrophobic..BUT once we got up to the tippy top, wow!
And this is the view you get.
Absolutely amazing. And being a fan of Dine-In's Diners and Drives, we of course had to take advantage of out cross country adventure and explore some of Guy Fieri's faves. Who knew that the best soul food either of us had ever experienced lay in the heart of St. Louis, Mo. Just wonderful. Crispy fried chicken, creamy mac n cheese with a hint of sweetness, and black eyed peas to die for. Plus a little indulgence got us the peach cobbler (they also had pear cobbler but my counterparts were opposed) which was probably the best I'd ever had.

Next stop! Of which I unfortunately have no pictures :( Sandusky, Ohio! To where? Cedar Point! What's Cedar Point you ask? Why only home of the largest roller coaster in the U.S.! Residing on an island in Lake Erie, Cedar Point is a HUGE theme park full of it all. Fun times.
Niagara Falls
Good ol' Canada
For me, the climax of the road trip was most definitely Niagara Falls in Buffalo, New York! Just a wonderful experience. If you've never seen it, might I suggest going at least once in your life. Apparently, the Canadian side is MUCH better, but not one of us had our passports to make the short trip across the border. Poo on us. Regardless, this was a beauty that I was in awe of. Absolute peace.
This is only a section of it, too. Amazing.

After leaving Niagara Falls, for me anyhow, the trip began to drag on.
Next stop:
Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame: Cleveland, Ohio
Although I'm not big on Rock N' Roll, my friend and her dad certainly were and that's what was great. We saw TONS of different hall of famers and their clothes of course..which leads us to the next stop:
Graceland: Memphis, Tenn.
Whooh! what a site it was. Elvis's mansion was gigantic! And sold for like $40,000??? It's incredible to see the price differences of our day compared to back in the 50's and 60's..I feel like it really wasn't too long ago. But, of course I'd be wrong.

Elvis' grave!
Beautiful, absolutely. Elvis lay there with his closest relatives. What a site.
From there..I became extremely antsy to get home. It could not come sooner. And, so the trip became a blur until we made it! Home to Terrin's house where her mother had made us a delicious home cooked meal and we could finally relax.
When the summer quickly took off:
Best friend's birthday
Caption: "WE HARD AS FUCK"
And of course the national holiday of the summer, also marking the middle of greatness.
marked with drunken nights.
And there you have it..despite the stress I merely think I'm experiencing, I claim this summer a success.
